Michael T. Jaklitsch, M.D., FACS

It has been my honor to serve the first year of my term as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (MCACS). I feel the Chapter has made significant advancements in sharing science, advocacy, and fellowship. I am excited to host this year's Annual Meeting that will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts. I hope this meeting will serve as a springboard for more young surgical attendings and residents to get involved with the Mass Chapter.

The recipient will be reimbursed for his/her travel expenses and registration for the 2016 conference and summit in Washington, DC and the winning essay will be posted on the MCACS website, www.mcacs.org. The recipient will be expected to give a presentation at the MCACS 2016 State Advocacy Day that will take place in Boston.
